Yamaha YZF-R25 gets a colour upgrade in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong Yamaha Motor has updated the colour palette of its renowned sportbike model, the YZF-R25. The bike is now available in a new Glacier White shade replacing the previous Midnight Star purple. However, it continues to come with the classic Racing Blue paintwork as before.

The YZF-R25, known for its agile handling, powerful performance, and striking design, has garnered a loyal following since its inception. With the addition of the new colour, the automaker aims to further solidify the model's position as a top choice among sportbike enthusiasts in Malaysia.

The 2024 Yamaha YZF-R25 is priced at RM 22,980 (excluding registration and insurance). The price includes a two-year or 20,000 km manufacturer’s warranty. Additionally, the automaker offers a Yamaha brake disc lock worth RM 100 with every purchase.

As a quick recap, the bike is powered by a 249-cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine dishing out a maximum power of 35.5 hp at 12,000 rpm and a peak torque of 22.6 Nm at 10,000 rpm. The power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed transmission and chain final drive. 

Equipment kit comprises YZF-R1 inspired dual-LED headlights, inverted front forks, a monochrome LCD screen display, and 17-inch wheels wrapped with 110/70 front and 140/70 rear rubbers. 

The suspension setup comprises non-adjustable upside-down forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Handling the braking system are single hydraulic discs on both ends, which are complemented by a two-channel ABS.

The 2024 Yamaha YZF-R25 is now available at all authorised Hong Leong Yamaha Motor dealerships across Malaysia.
