Yamaha XSR900 gets special retro kit

KUALA LUMPUR: Yamaha’s popular retro cafe racer, the XSR900, gets a special retro kit from the automaker allowing owners to curate their own version of the motorcycle.

While the standard Yamaha XSR900 celebrates the brand’s iconic models, the recently introduced retro kit gives inclusions that take it a step further on the design front.

The newly introduced kit consists of several elements like a front headlight cowl made out of reinforced fiberglass plastic and a classic GP race bike inspired sat cowl.

Further enhancing the retro kit's look are the striking colour tones including, Legend Blue and Midnight Black.

Engine

Powering the XSR900 is an 890 cc 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve, 3-cylinder mill generating a maximum power output of 117 hp at6,000 rpm along with a pak toru of 93 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The power will be sent to the wheels via a constant msh, 6-speed transmission.
