Yamaha Tenere 700 gets significant upgrades for 2023
KUALA LUMPUR: First introduced in 2019, Yamaha’s mid-size, dual-sport model, the Tenere 700 has a huge fan base amongst off-roading enthusiasts due to its handling characteristics and nimble ride. To keep up the off-roader popularity, the Japanese marque has bestowed its standard and higher-spec Rally edition models with significant upgrades for 2023 in Europe.

Two available themes are explorer and street; the former focuses on the RPM scale, allowing the rider to concentrate on maintaining the highest torque for efficient dirt riding performance while the latter has a more traditional look with analogue-style circular dials.
As for activating the smartphone connectivity, the rider first needs to link his/her smartphone to the machine via Bluetooth using Yamaha’s MyRide app.

Yamaha also offers the 2023 Tenere 700 standard model with updated graphics and new colour tones viz. Icon Blue and Tech Kamo. The updated Tenere 700 Rally Edition continues to be offered in a single Heritage White shade.
Besides these, both trims continue to feature the same design, equipment, and mechanical setup. The latter comprises a 690-cc 4-stroke, Euro5-compliant engine that delivers a maximum power output of 72.3 hp at 8,750 rpm and a peak torque of 67 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Shifting duties are handled by a 6-speed manual gearbox paired with a final chain drive.
Pricing for the 2023 Tenere 700 models is yet to be revealed by Yamaha.
