Yamaha Malaysia introduces a new colour for MT-15

KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong Yamaha Malaysia has announced a colour update for its popular naked bike, the MT-15. It is now available in two colour options - Ice Storm and Midnight Black. The former is a newly introduced shade, which replaces Midnight Cyan.

The 2025 Yamaha MT-15 price remains unchanged at RM 12,498 (excluding road tax, insurance or registration). It comes with a two-year or 20,000 km manufacturing warranty and a complimentary Yamaha disc lock worth RM 100.

Apart from gaining a new colour, the MT-15 continues to feature the same design and equipment. It features a compact mass-forward body design with twin-eyed position lights that give the bike a ready-to-attack look. The bike has an upright motard riding position and agile handling, perfect for smooth and fun city riding.

The bike is powered by a 155-cc, single-cylinder, SOHC, liquid-cooled, VVA engine tuned to make 19.3 PS of maximum power at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of peak torque at 8,500 rpm. 

Sending power to the rear wheel is a 6-speed transmission paired with a chain final drive and an A&S (assist and slipper) clutch system. The A&S clutch offers quick and smooth downshifts, thus helping reduce rider fatigue. 

The feature kit comprises - LED headlight and tail light, a monochrome LCD instrument panel, 17-inch wheels (shod with 110/7-0 front and 140/70 rear tyres), an aluminium swingarm, and a 10.4-litre fuel tank.

The suspension is handled by gold upside-down forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Helping the bike stop are single hydraulic discs on both ends.

The 2025 Yamaha MT-15 is now available at all authorized Yamaha dealers across Malaysia.
