Yamaha Augur arrives in Taiwan with mean looks and advanced features
KUALA LUMPUR: Yamaha has introduced a new 155-cc maxi-style scooter in Taiwan, called the Augur. Based on the Aerox 155/NVX155 available in the local market, the new Japanese machine features mean looks and hosts a number of advanced tech features.

Powering the new Yamaha Augur is a tried and tested 155-cc single-cylinder VVA fuel injection engine, which delivers a maximum power of 14.7 hp and a peak torque of 13.8 Nm.Talking about the design first, the Yamaha Augur looks absolutely striking thanks to its unique, and edgy design loaded with several angular sections. Among the key highlights are an arrow-shaped headlight, slim and pointy front bodywork, and stylish body panels with different textures having glossy and matte finishings.
Also part of the kit is a broad saddle and a flat floorboard allowing the rider to confidently plant his/her feet. The under-seat storage compartment is also good enough to carry daily essentials.
In terms of technology, the new Yamaha 155-cc scooter benefits from colour-changing LED headlights. Yes, the headlights of the scooter change colour as per the weather and the rider’s preference. With the help of a toggle, it can be set as white when riding in the city with clear skies or warm white for better visibility in rain and fog.
