Vespa 75th Anniversary models unveiled

KUALA LUMPUR: Piaggio is celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the iconic Vespa scooter brand with three special edition models - the Vespa GTS Super Tech 125, GTS Super Tech 300, and Vespa Primavera 125.

All the 75th Anniversary special edition models will feature a unique retro-styled yellow colour along with the 75th suffix. Also, part of the kit is - an exclusive livery, new saddle, special finishes, and a chrome-plated luggage rack for the bag designed for the scooter. Besides, Vespa is offering customers a silk scarf and eight commemorative postcards, each depicting eight decades of Vespa's history.

 

A new special series, called the Vespa 75th has been created to celebrate the brand's 75th anniversary. It includes the Vespa GTS (300cc) and Vespa Primavera (50 and 150 cc). The Vespa 75th models get an all-steel body sprayed in 'Giallo 75th', an original metallic yellow hue. Also, the number '75' is painted in a slightly stronger shade on the side panels and front mudguard.

The Vespa 75th models also get -

• A 4.3-inch TFT colour display with a smartphone connectivity system
• A host of chrome-plated details
• Special nubuck leather saddle
• Grey wheel rims with a diamond finish
• Chrome-plated rear luggage rack with a round bag

As per Piaggio, since 1946 (first patent registration), the company has sold over 19 million Vespa scooters, of which 1.8 million units were sold in the last decade alone.

Since its inception, Vespa has set new-trends and created a distinct place for itself in the world of scooters.
