Let's get to know the all-new Moto Morini X-Cape 650 in detail -
Price & Variant
The new Moto Morini X-Cape 650 is offered in two variant options in the local market - the entry-level X-Cape 650 and the range-topping X-Cape 650X (with off-road specs). While the former is priced at RM 39,999, the latter will cost the buyer a little more at RM 43,999.
Note that the prices exclude road tax and insurance. However, each purchase includes a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.
Powertrain
Being an adventure-tourer, the X-Cape 650 packs a mill good enough for everyday commute and those chill weekend drives. Both its variants are powered by the same 650 cc twin-cylinder unit that generates a maximum power of 60 hp at 8,250 rpm along with a peak torque of 56 Nm at 7,000 rpm.
The power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox and chain final drive on both the trims.
Braking and Handling
Providing a smooth ride is a must for an adventurer-tourer, so Moto Morini has equipped the X-Cape 650 with 50 mm fully-adjustable Marzocchi forks at the front and KYB mono-shock at the rear. The Brembo brake package takes care of braking, which includes twin two-piston callipers clamping 298 mm floating discs at the front and a two-piston calliper & 255 mm disc at the rear. The motorcycle also gets dual-channel ABS that's switchable for off-road use.
