KUALA LUMPUR: Just in case you aren’t aware, BRABUS is synonymous with high-end luxury and performance cars, however, now it is also involved with KTM. For the motorcycle brand, BRABUS is modifying high-performance bikes with its own version of luxury and high-performance gear.

    Worldwide the BRABUS 1300R Edition 23 is limited to just 290 units, only one unit has made it to the Malaysian market. The motorcycle is offered in two hues - Superblack and Stealth Gray, both limited to 145 units each.

    Powertrain

    Based on the KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO, the BRABUS 1300R Edition 23 is powered by a 1,301cc LC8 V-Twin engine churning out a maximum power of 180 hp at 9500 rpm along with a peak torque of 140 Nm at 8000 rpm.

    Performance

    The 194 kg motorcycle completes a century sprint in just 3.2 seconds and attains a top speed of 270 kmph.

    • 48mm upside-down fork up front with 125mm of travel, and a rear shock with 140mm of travel, both electronically adjustable
    • Brembo Stylema 4-piston brakes with 320mm twin floating discs up front and Brembo twin-piston floating caliper with a single 240mm disc at the back

    • Six damping modes for the front forks (Comfort, Street, Sport, Auto, Track, Advanced)
    • Electronically controlled height adjustment at the rear with three levels – Low, Standard, and High
    • MSR system regulating wheel slip, a quick shifter, cornering, and supermoto ABS, and the electronically controlled suspension system
    • BRABUS Monoblock Z lightweight 9-spoke forged 17-inch wheels wrapped in Bridgestone S22 Battlax hyper sport tyres

    • Round headlight with an aerodynamic headlight mask to “ensure maximum airflow to the engine’s air box”
    • Lightweight and ultra-strong carbon fiber lateral air ducts, headlight mask, and the belly pan
    • Custom heated seats with diamond design and “crest” stitching pattern; offers a high level of grip & sit 845 mm off the ground
      800 grams, single-piece carbon fiber undertray, neatly integrated into the single-seat tail

    • An all-new pillion seat cover matching the body color
