Malaysia gets its most affordable quarter-litre motorcycle, the Aveta VZR250

KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, you read it just right. The all-new entry-level Aveta VZR250 sportsbike is one of the most affordable motorcycles in its class. Thus, making the year all the more exciting for motorcycle enthusiasts, especially with the launch and soon arrival of several two-wheelers.

For instance, the confirmation about the upcoming 2023 Honda XL750 Transalp & BMW Motorrad CE04 e-scooter, along with the launch of the 2023 BMW Motorrad K1600B, 2023 Honda ADV160, and the arrival of the updated 2023 Honda Wave Alpha.

We have already discussed the above-mentioned models, and here we’ll be discussing the 2023 Aveta VZR250.

Price: The all-new 2023 Aveta VZR250 sportsbike retails for RM 14,998, thus making it a very affordable option out there.

Engine: Powering the Aveta VZR250 is a 250cc liquid-cooled, DICH, single-cylinder engine making a maximum power of 25.4 hp at 9,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 21 Nm at 7,000 rpm.

Transmission: The drive is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed transmission with a slipper clutch and chain final drive.

Handling & Suspension: Promising a comfortable ride all along is a conventional telescopic fork at the front and non-adjustable with a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Braking operation is taken care of by hydraulic discs and a single discs at the front and rear, respectively.

While the sport bike misses ABS, it gets a combined braking system at both ends.

Specs: The VZR250 gets a 14-liter fuel tank, weighs 186 kg, and rides on 17-inch wheels.

Colour options: The quite affordable motorcycle is offered in three hues including, Jet Black, Firebird Red, and Air Force Blue.
