Malaysia Autoshow 2024: Four new Honda bikes revealed - ADV350, CB750, XL750 and NX500

KUALA LUMPUR: At the ongoing Malaysia Autoshow 2024, Boon Siew Honda is grabbing attention with its impressive new models. Honda’s booth displays four highly anticipated bikes: the Honda ADV350, Honda CB750, Honda XL750, and Honda NX500.

Along with the bikes, you can also find a new Honda Technology Corner at the booth, where one can understand the working of different technologies such as Honda Selectable Torque Control, Honda E-clutch, and enhanced Smart Power Plus in virtual reality and digital forms.

Coming back to the bikes, let’s know their details one by one.

Honda ADV350

The long-awaited ADV350 has finally landed on Malaysian shores. Hailing from the brand’s ADV lineup, the new scooter underpins the concept of “Urban Adventure Scooter.” It is well-suited for daily and off-road adventures in a city.

The ADV350 is powered by a 330cc single–cylinder liquid–cooled SOHC 4-stroke, 4-valved engine that generates a maximum power of 28.8 hp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 31.8 Nm at 5,250 rpm.

Equipment kit of the new adventure scooter comprises - full LED Lighting, an adjustable windscreen (four levels), auto indicator cancellation, digital instrument panel with Bluetooth, Honda Selectable Torque Control, Emergency Stop Signal, hydraulic disc brakes, anti-lock braking system, 15-inch front, and 14-inch rear wheel.

The Honda ADV350 is priced at RM 33,999 (without registration, road tax, and insurance) in Malaysia. Colour options include - Mat Gun Powder Black Metallic, Pearl Smokey Gray, and Mat Candy Tulip Red.

Honda CB750 Hornet

The CB750 Hornet is a naked twin-cylinder motorcycle synonymous with “Fast, agile, and fun.” It is powered by a formidable 755-cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled OHC four-stroke Unicam eight-valve engine capable of generating 90.6 horsepower at 9,500 rpm and 74.4 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.

Power is sent to the wheels via a 6-speed transmission mated to systems like Assist Slipper Clutch and Quickshifter. Three preset modes are available: Rain, Sports, and Standard, and there is also a customised User mode.

The feature kit includes a 5-inch TFT display, Honda Smartphone Voice Control connected via the Honda RoadSync app, Honda Selectable Torque Control, Wheelie Control technology, full LED Lighting, auto indicator cancellation, Emergency Stop Signal, Showa USD front suspension, Monoshock rear damper, double disc brake with ABS, and 17-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels. 

The CB750 Hornet is available in three colours - Graphite Black, Pearl Glare White & Mat Goldfinch Yellow.

Honda XL750 Transalp

Designed for thrill-seekers and mountain conquerors, the Honda XL750 Transalp has also made its way to Malaysia.  

At the core of this ADV machine sits a 755-cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke engine, which produces 90.5 hp of power at 9,500 rpm and 75 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist/slipper clutch, offering a smooth gear shift.

The Honda XL750 Transalp price tag reads RM 56,800. It is available in three striking colours - Ross White, Mat Ballistic Black Metallic, and Mat Iridium Gray Metallic.

Honda NX500

The NX500 is another adventure bike from Honda, which offers amazing riding experience in both concrete jungle and flat dirt trails. It features a sleek and aerodynamic design and comes equipped with a 471-cc, twin-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine. The said mill dishes out a 49.6 hp of power at 8,500 rpm and 45 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

The bike rolls on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. The suspension setup comprises Showa USD front forks and an adjustable linked rear shock. Handling the braking duties are dual front and a single rear disc with dual-channel ABS. 

Other key highlights include - LED headlight, 5-inch TFT instrument panel, Honda Selectable Torque Control, and traction control. 

The Honda NX500 colour palette includes three striking hues - Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, Grand Prix Red, and Pearl Horizon White.

The new Honda bikes are available for public viewing at the Malaysia Autoshow till May 26, 2024.
