Malaysia Autoshow 2024: All-new Triumph Dayton 660 launched, priced at RM 49,500

KUALA LUMPUR: The country’s biggest auto show has opened its doors, and brands are taking full advantage by launching/displaying/previewing their models. One such brand is Triumph, which attracted the crowd by launching its smallest modern sportbike, the new 2024 Triumph Dayton 660.

Let’s check out a few crucial details about the all-new Triumph Dayton 660 -

Price: The 2024 Dayton retails for RM 49,500, including a two-year or 16,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.

Powertrain: Powering the Dayton is the same inline-triple mill that powers the Tiger 660 and the Street Triple 600. Here, it pumps out a maximum power output of 95 PS @ 11,520 rpm along with a peak torque of 69 Nm at 8,250 rpm.

Transmission: The drive is sent to the wheels via a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch with chain final drive.

Braking and handling: The brakes, which are radial-mount four-piston brakes with twin 310 mm discs and a 220 mm fixed disc with a single piston sliding caliper in the rear, take care of the braking duties. A two-channel ABS is standard.

Suspension, on the other hand, is handled by Showa upside-down big piston 41 mm diameter front forks and Showa preload adjustable monoshock at the back.

Features: Part of the Dayton’s specs sheet is three driving modes (Sport, Rain, and Road), throttle response and traction control settings, new Emergency Deceleration Warning system, digital LCD gauge, and My Triumph Connectivity System.
