KTM launched the 2022 890 Duke R, full details out
KUALA LUMPUR: Only a few days back KTM announced February 2022 as the Midweight NAKED month wherein orange bleeders were promised a refreshed KTM 890 Duke R. Standing by its words, we have 2022 890 Duke R, with a fresh new colourway.
Speaking of which, for the model year 2022, the KTM midweight bike gets an all-new Atlantic Blue tone. The stunning hue has been lifted directly from the 1290 Super Duke R and it reminds us of the palate used on the KTM RC 16 MotoGP bike.

Enhancing the blue is the brand’s signature orange frame that without a doughnut offers a perfect colour contrast. Something only KTM could achieve.
KTM introduced the 890 Duke R back in 2020 and to date, it remains the undisputed champion of the middleweight naked segment.
Any change in power configuration? No, the bike continues to derive power from the tried and tested 890 cc parallel-twin mill that pumps out a maximum power of 121 hp along with a peak torque of 99 Nm.
This middleweight no-nonsense KTM is liked by many for its amazing handling and how efficiently it tackles twisty corners both on track and on normal roads.
The KTM 890 Duke R is dubbed ‘The Super Scalpel’ for its lightning-fast steering geometry. And further enhancing its capability are tubular steel chassis and adjustable WP Apex suspension.
It also gets Brembo Styles callipers, 320 front disc and adjustable Brembo MCS master cylinder.
