Honda MSX 125 SF is now available in new colors

KUALA LUMPUR: The Honda MSX 125 SF mini-bike has been updated with 4 new colours. The bike is now available in colours like Incredible Green, Halloween Orange, Splendid Blue and Gayety Red. Also known as the Grom in other countries, the bike is retailing at RM 10,499 without GST, down from the previous price of RM 11,128.

The bike is powered by an air-cooled, single-cylinder engine fed by Honda’s PGM-FI. It delivers 9.6 hp at 7,000 rpm and 11 Nm of torque at 5,250 rpm. With the presence of a four-speed gearbox, power is supplied to the ground via a chain drive and fuel is carried in a 5.7-litre tank.

 

The MSX rolls on 12-inch wheels which has a 31 mm diameter upside-down fork in front and a preload adjustable monoshock at the back. A single hydraulic disc has been installed in front and rear for brakes.

This Honda bike weighs at 102 kg. It comes with LED lighting all-around. The cockpit has an LCD dashboard inside it that shows the rider all the necessary information, including twin tripmeters, fuel gauge and clock. The bike is suitable for younger riders, as its seat height is very rider friendly at 760 mm.

The MSX 125 SF was introduced in the Malaysian market in December 2016. Its main competition, in Malaysia, comes from the Kawasaki Z125 Pro at RM 9,844 and Benelli TnT 135 at RM 7,989.
