Honda Malaysia updates 2019 CRF250 Rally and CB250R

KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Malaysia has given two of its quarter-litre bikes, the 2019 CB250R naked sport and CRF250 Rally dual sport a mild update. Both the motorbikes are given a new color option allowing buyers to make a better choice.

2019 CRF250 Rally new colour

The 2019 Honda CRF250 Rally is now available in two color options - Extreme Red and new Black. This dual-sport can be yours at RM 26,999. Note, the price does not include insurance, road tax, and registration.

As for the CB250R, it retails for RM 22,999 for Matte Krypton Silver and Graphite Black options. However, the new Candy Chromosphere Red option will set buyers back by RM 23,499.

The Honda CB250R mimics the look and design of the bigger CB1000R Neo Sports Cafe. However, unlike its elder sibling, it is powered by a 250cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produced 27.2 hp of maximum power at 9,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 23.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The power is transmitted to the wheels via a 6-speed gearbox and chain final drive. Also, included in its standard feature list is two-channel ABS braking, full LED lighting, upside-down forks, LCD digital instrument cluster, and preload-adjustable monoshock. The CB250R fuel tank has a capacity of 10.5-litre and the bike weights 145 kg.

2019 CRF250 Rally rear

As for the Honda CRF250 Rally, it is designed to take on the hardest of terrain and displays ability to handle dirt and pavement. Sourcing its power from a 250cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC engine, the bike churns out 24.4 hp at 8,500 rpm and 22.6 Nm at 6,750 rpm. With a height of 895 mm, this motorbike from Honda comes with 43 mm diameter Showa upside-down forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. Braking is taken care of by hydraulic discs at front and rear with two-channel ABS.

The bikes sprayed in the newly introduced color will arrive at Honda showrooms by the end of May 2019.
