Honda Malaysia launches all-new Wave 125i

KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Malaysia lineup welcomes the all-new 2021 Wave 125i that is offered in a single version - Wave 125i two disc brake. The previously available Wave 125i disc/drum brake is now discontinued. Let's now get into the details -

2021 Honda Wave 125i price

The 2021 Wave 125i two disc brake model can be yours at RM 6,449, which is RM 150 more than the previous-gen model.

Included in the price is a two-year/20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.

2021 Honda Wave 125i engine details

Powering the new Wave 125i is a 124.9 cc, air-cooled engine, fed by Honda's PGM-Fi. The said mill pumps out a maximum power of 9hp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 10 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels via a four-speed rotary gearbox with a centrifugal clutch and chain final drive.

It is to be noted that the said engine is the same as the one powering the previous-gen model, however, this one meets the emission requirements, it is now Euro 4 compliant.

2021 Honda Wave 125i technical and design updates

For the model year 2021, Honda has improved the Wave 125i a bit on every front. For instance, the instrument panel is redesigned with new panel graphics and it also benefits from a gear indicator display. Further, the headlights get LED units.

One of the major highlights, however, is the inclusion of new colours options including Pearl Nightfall Blue, Extravagant Gold Metallic, and Candy Scintillate Red.

• The fuel tank can take in 5.4-litre petrol at a time
