Honda Malaysia introduces new colours for Vario 160

KUALA LUMPUR: After upgrading the colour palette of the ADV160, Boon Siew Honda has now given the Vario 160 a vibrant new look in Malaysia. This sporty premium scooter is now set to grab even more eyeballs with its two new hues - Green and Mat Blue.

With the colour upgrade also comes a slight change in price. The 2024 Honda Vario 160 now costs RM 10,498 (excluding road tax, insurance, and registration).

The design and specifications of the Vario 160 remain unchanged. The scooter boasts a sporty appearance with an aggressive front fascia, edgy body panels, and a lean tail section. The neat and clean side profile showcases a flat floorboard and 14-inch cast wheel show with tubeless tyres. Notably, the scooter is based on an enhanced Smart Architecture Frame (eSAF), known for its lightweight and strength.

Feature kit includes - an LED headlight with daytime running light, LED tail light, LED turn indicators, a built-in USB charger, Honda Smart Key System, a fully digital instrument panel, and an 18-litre under-seat storage compartment.

Powering the Vario 160 is the same 157-cc, four-valve engine featuring enhanced Smart Power+ (eSP+) technology. It kicks out a maximum power of 15.3 PS at 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 13.8 Nm at 7,000 rpm. Sending power to the front wheel is a CVT gearbox mated to a belt drive system.

The suspension setup comprises telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock absorber at the rear. As for braking, the scooter comes fitted with hydraulic single-disc brakes on both ends. However, the front unit is complemented by an anti-lock braking system.
