Honda CBR250RR SP Special Edition launched in Indonesia
KUALA LUMPUR: Honda is on a roll these days with a lot on its plate, and now, the Japanese manufacturers have launched CBR250RR’s special edition called CBR250RR SP Quickshifter Special Edition Garuda x Samurai. This special edition bike is only limited to 75 units and will be available exclusively to the Indonesian buyers.
Why? The Garuda x Samurai livery is launched to honour the country’s 75th Independence Day that falls on 17th August—priced at 77.0 million Rupiah (approx. RM 22,141). This unique livery includes the mystical Garuda that occupies a special place in Indonesian heritage and can also be found on its national emblem. On the CBR250RR SP special edition, the Garuda is present on the left-hand side, while Samurai features on the right-hand side fairing. The latter in the Indonesian culture symbolises strength.
The CBR250RR SP Quick Shifter Special Edition Garuda x Samurai is not just about exterior modifications. It also gets a few riding aids like - a slip-and-assist clutch and bi-directional quick-shifter.
The special edition model is powered by the same 249.7 cc high-strung parallel-twin motor that makes a maximum power of 41 PS at 13,000 rpm and a peak torque of 25 Nm at 11,000 rpm. Enhancing its performance further are three riding modes - Comfort, Sport, and Sport+.
A USD fork and preload-adjustable monoshock mounted on an aluminium swingarm handle the suspension duties. The bike is also equipped with ABS and petal disc brakes at both the ends.
