Harley-Davidson 2021 line-up will be announced on Jan 19th
KUALA LUMPUR: As per a recent announcement by Harley-Davidson, the motorcycle manufacturer's upcoming line-up for 2021 will be revealed on January 19th via a virtual event.
This online event will be the first of its kind for Harley-Davidson wherein it will preview the new Pan America 1250 along with the latest riding gear, parts, and accessories. It is to be noted that at the event HD will only showcase the new Pan America with its details coming out on Feb 22nd, 2021.
However, there is a bit of information available on the Pan America 1250 since the time it was first showcased by HD at the 2019 EICMA. The motorcycle is said to run on the company's latest power plant - the Revolution Max 1250cc liquid-cooled V-Twin with counter-balancer to mitigate vibration and aid durability. This mill pumps out a maximum power of 145 hp along with a peak torque of 122 Nm.
As per HD, the new mill will provide “a narrow powertrain profile that is integrated into the motorcycle as a stressed member of the frame to enhance centre of gravity and handling.”
Harley Davidson also announced its recent collaboration with Michelin and Brembo at the event. While the former helped design tyres for the biker, the latter provided radial monoblock four-piston caliper.
Harley-Davidson Custom 1250 that was earlier considered to be cut-off from the motorcycle manufacturer's future line-up is now confirmed to survive. The model is now part of the 'Future Models' section on the HD website and is set to debut in 2021. Powering the Custom 1250 is the same liquid-cooled V-twin mill as the Pan America 1250.
