Get ready for the Harley-Davidson X350 and X500; arriving tomorrow
KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, Harley-Davidson is all set to debut not one but two motorcycles, the X350 and X500. Both the new products are a result of the brand’s partnership with the Chinese manufacturer, QJ Motor.
Many aren’t aware of the fact that the all-new H-D X350 and X500 are based on the Benelli 302S and Benelli Leoncino 500, respectively. While using the Benelli model’s technical foundation, Harley-Davidson adds design, style, and ergonomics to the motorcycles. Thus, making them more compact in appearance than their American counterparts.
The all-new Harley-Davidson X350 is powered by a 353cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine making a maximum power output of 36 hp. The X500, on the other hand, gets a 500cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected parallel-twin mill generating a maximum power of 47 hp.
The H-D X350 and X500 share several configurations - LED lights all around, front & rear disc brakes with ABS, and inverted front forks.
Once launched the new Harley-Davidson motorcycles will go up against cruisers and neo-retro roadsters like the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Meteor 350, Benelli Leoncino, Honda Rebel 500, Honda Rebel 300, and Benelli Leoncino 502 C.
