Ducati Panigale V2 revealed at DWP2020
KUALA LUMPUR: Ducati has taken the wraps off the Panigale V2 at DWP2020 (Ducati World Premiere 2020) ahead of the EICMA show in Milan. The bike comes as a replacement of the Panigale 959 sports bike. The baby superbike has taken few designing cues from the Panigale V4 superbike, including the LED DRLs and front cowl.
The bike is powered by a 955 cc Superquadro liquid-cooled engine, which is capable of churning out a maximum power of 155 hp at 10,750 rpm and the peak torque of 104 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed gearbox along with an up-and-down quick-shifter.
The Ducati Panigale V2 designing looks like a mixture of Panigale 959 and V4. The monocoque frame is similar to the former, but according to the Italian bike manufacturer, there are a few modifications done on the chassis. The bike has 200 Kg of wet weight, and the seat height is quite decent at 845 mm. It carries a fuel tank of 17-litres. There is also a new TFT-LCD instrument panel.
Coming to the suspension, there are fully-adjustable Showa BPF forks at the front, while a Sachs fully-adjustable mono-shock is present at the back. The spring preload at both ends is toned down a little. The rebound damping and compression get the same treatment, and all of this helps to enhance the rider’s convenience.
Ducati Panigale V2 comes with a single-sided aluminium swingarm. As for the stopping duties, there are 320 mm disc with radial-mounted M4.32 Monobloc four-piston callipers at the front, while at the rear, there is 245 mm disc with two-piston Brembo calliper. These are further aided by cornering ABS to make it more efficient.
