CFMoto teases two new sports bikes - 500SR and 675SR

KUALA LUMPUR: The 2023 CFMoto Day was recently held at Zhuzhou International Circuit in China, during which the Chinese automaker teased its two new upcoming high-performance motorcycles: the 500SR and 675SR. These new CFMoto sports bikes belong to the brand's SR model lineup, which currently includes smaller-capacity bikes like the 450SR, 300SR, and 250SR.

While the automaker does not reveal much about these upcoming bikes, the teasers reveal that the models will borrow the design elements from their stablemates. That means, we can expect a bold front end with complete fairing, clip-on bars, and a raised rear section.

The upcoming CFMoto 500SR is touted as the "pure expression of the SR sporting spirit" by the brand. The bike will come equipped with a new 500-cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, inline-four-cylinder engine and innovative systems that will enable it to clock a top speed of 230 kmph. The said engine has been undergoing "secret development" for the last three years.

The upcoming CFMoto 675SR, on the contrary, will have a new three-cylinder engine concept at its core, generating more than 100 horsepower. It will be the brand’s most performance-oriented bike ever.

The debut of these new CFMoto SR models is likely to be held by the end of this year in global markets. According to the bike maker, both models will offer an unparalleled experience on the road as well as track to riders.

CFMoto SR lineup in Malaysia

CFMoto offers two SR models in Malaysia viz. 250SR and 450 SR. Priced at RM 17,800, the former is powered by a 249.2 cc DOHC single-cylinder engine delivering 27.5 hp at 9,750 rpm and 22 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The CFMoto 450 SR, on the other hand, comes with a 450 cc parallel-twin DOHC engine, which is good for making 50 hp at 9,500 rpm and 39 Nm at 7,600 rpm. The 450 SR retails for RM 28,888.
