Carbon neutrality for Yamaha by 2050
KUALA LUMPUR: Yamaha Group Environmental Plan 2050 has been announced which aims for carbon neutrality throughout all the company’s business activities. The plan also includes the life cycles of products the brand is currently producing - from industrial robots to motorcycles.
Yamaha also released a press statement on the plan that said, "Yamaha Motor has continuously offered personal mobility options with small environmental footprints and low CO2 emissions over the entire product life cycle, from raw material procurement and manufacturing to use and disposal. Toward realizing a carbon-neutral society in 2050, the Company will continue to offer new value by proposing new forms of mobility unique to #yamaha Motor in addition to its signature motorcycles."
The concerned Yamaha environmental plan 2050 consists of several stages and targets that the company aims to achieve in the coming years. For instance, CO2 emission reduction in 2030 and 2035. Not only this, the plan’s first stage will focus on employing globally recognised carbon offset technologies before making it to the brand's major product segments.
