BMW Philippines adds M 1000 RR to its lineup, Malaysia next?
KUALA LUMPUR: The much-awaited BMW M 1000 RR has arrived on the Philippine shores, while we still look forward to seeing it here in Malaysia. However, keeping our hopes high and believing the beast will soon bless the land with its presence, we’ll have a look at what all it brings to the plate.
The M 1000 RR is the first BMW to benefit from the full M treatment and is designed to dominate the motorcycle races around the world. Speaking of the M milled parts, the track-ready machine comes fitted with -
- M carbon parts
- M brakes
- M carbon wheels
- M winglets
- Higher windscreen
- Akrapovic titanium full system exhaust
The parts mentioned above and more, are all race-inspired and help turn the BMW M 1000 RR into a beast that can achieve a maximum speed of 306 kmph. Furthermore, it can touch the 100 kmph mark in just 3.1 seconds. Enhancing its performance is its superior braking and cornering prowess.
All these amazing performance figures are attributed to its powerful mill, a 99 cc inline four-cylinder unit making a maximum power of 212 hp at 14,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm.
Pricing? Well, to own a BMW M 1000 RR in the Philippines will cost Php 2,995,000 (approx. RM 255,000). Seems interesting, given the 2021 BMW S 1000 RR is available in Malaysia for RM 121,500.
