All-new QJMotor SRT800 and SRT800 X makes local debut; bookings open

KUALA LUMPUR: It was only a few days back that QJMotor introduced the all-new SRK600 in the Malaysian market and now the company has launched its new middleweight dual-sport motorcycle, the SRT800. Seems like QJMotor is on a spree to enhance its presence in the Malaysian market by offering new, youth-appealing offerings in every range possible.

    QJMoto Malaysia's latest offering is a middleweight dual-sport machine called the SR 800. In the local market it is offered in two variant options - standard SRT800 and range-topping SRT800 X.

    Engine configuration

    QJMotor SRT800 and SRT800 X engine

    Both the SRT800 variants are powered by a 745 cc liquid-cooled twin-cam (DOHC) parallel-twin engine generating a maximum power output of 75 hp along with a peak torque of 67 Nm. The drive is sent to the wheels via a 6-speed transmission.

    Breaking and handling

    The braking and suspension duties are handled by common units in both the SRT800 variants. Helping the middleweight dual-sport motorcycle stop is Brembo braking hardware (twin four-piston callipers on 320 mm disc at front and single-piston calliper on 260 mm disc at the rear) with Bosch dual-channel ABS.

    Further, assuring a smooth and comfortable ride all along is adjustable inverted-type front forks and preload & compression adjustable monoshock at the rear.
