All-new Honda PCX launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Honda has introduced an all-new Honda PCX. This modern commuter scooter is equipped with latest technological features. The new scooter is being said to come with features that are different from the previous model.

The new PCX is crafted in a steel duplex cradle frame. To enhance the riding experience, a new suspension and a new 14-inch alloy wheel has been introduced in this scooter. The scooter will be offered in three colors: Euphoria Red Metallic, Radiate Grey Metallic, and Pearl Metalloid White.

The design of this new PCX scooter has been given sharper and a sportier look. Compact dual LED headlights along with integrated Daytime Running Light and LED tail light has been introduced in this scooter.

 

The under-seat storage capacity of the scooter is 25-litre. This storage space is lockable and can even accommodate a full-face helmet. The front glove box of the scooter has been equipped with a 12-volt adaptor which can be used for charging personal electronic devices. This new PCX is incorporated with a SMART Key System which enables features like anti-theft alarm and answer-back system. It also features a keyless starting procedure.

It is equipped with a 149 cc SOHC liquid-cooled engine. The scooter is claimed to produce 14.5 hp at 8,500 rpm and 13.6 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Honda’s PGM-Fi fuels this scooter and power is delivered to the rear wheel via a CVT gearbox. A single hydraulic disc has been installed on the 14-inch front wheel and a drum brake on the 14-inch at the rear. The suspension of the scooter comes with a conventional telescopic fork on the front and dual shock absorbers adjustable with pre-load in the rear.

The new Honda PCX is going to be priced at around RM 10,999. Sporty appearance, a powerful engine and other additional features make this Honda scooter appealing.
