902 Harley-Davidson bikes gathering made a Malaysia Book of Records
KUALA LUMPUR: In association with the DiDi Group, Velocity Motorshow recently hosted a gathering of 902 Harley-Davidson bikes at Stadium Bukit Jalil, KL. It is said to be the largest H-D gathering to date and has been recorded in the Malaysia Book of Records.
“The event and record was made possible with the collaboration between VMS, Didi Group (official distributor in Malaysia for Harley-Davidson), Harley-Davidson Asia Pacific, and its official Harley-Davidson dealers in Malaysia,” said Jason Tan, Founder of VMS.
For the unacquainted, Velocity Motorshow is an annual motoring event that features show cars and bike models from all the states, action-packed drift challenges, and the latest street lifestyle trends. The show made its comeback in 2022 after a hiatus of two years courtesy of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Aligning to the vision of VMS, we hitch the plan in 2020 to work together to converge the lifestyle of two wheels thus allowing us to not only set a new record but create a platform to showcase everything two wheels during the show. It has also attracted other biker groups such as Royal Enfield, Vespa, Moto Guzzi, Aprilia, BMW, and Ducati to join together in celebration,” said Juan, General Manager, DiDi Group.
During the show, Harley Davidson Malaysia also previewed its two new models - Harley-Davidson Sportster S and Pan America. The former is priced at RM 92,900 while for the latter you need to shell a minimum amount of RM 99,900. The mentioned prices are on-the-road without insurance.
