2024 CFMoto 500SR Voom launched in Malaysia at RM 35,888

KUALA LUMPUR: CFMoto has expanded its lineup in Malaysia with the introduction of an all-new middleweight sports bike, the CFMoto 500SR Voom. The latest model comes with an ultimate blend of retro styling and cutting-edge technology, targeting both classic motorcycle enthusiasts and modern riders.

The CFMoto 500SR Voom is priced at RM 35,888 (excluding road tax, insurance, or registration) in Malaysia.

CFMoto 500SR Voom engine and performance

At the core of the new 500SR Voom lies a 499-cc inline four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine generating a maximum power of 77.78 hp at 12,500 rpm and a peak torque of 49 Nm at 10,000 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel through a six-speed gearbox mated to a quick-shifter and chain final drive system. 

The bike takes 4.2 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 kmph and hits a top speed of 200 kmph.

CFMoto 500SR Voom design and features 

As mentioned, the bike combines vintage charm with modern style, perfect for those seeking a unique and stylish ride. It features round front air inlet and twin-round headlights adding a classic touch to the overall design. The dual exhausts enhance its bold look while delivering a race-inspired sound. 

The 500SR Voom runs on 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels shod with 120/70 front and 160/70 rear tyres. It weighs 194 kg with a fuel tank capacity measuring 15.5 litres.

CFMoto 500SR Voom suspension & braking

For suspension, the CFMoto 500SR Voom gets 41 mm upside-down forks at the front, which are adjustable for both rebound and preload. At the rear, we can find a monoshock suspension with rebound and preload adjustability. Further enhancing handling and control is a steering damper available as a standard fitment.

The front braking setup comprises 300 mm discs with twin four-piston radial-mount callipers while the rear features a single disc with a floating single-piston calliper. These are complemented by two-channel ABS and two-mode traction control for added safety.
