2023 Honda CBR1000RR-R SP Fireblade 30th Anniversary edition introduced in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Malaysia has launched the 30th Anniversary edition of the 2023 Honda CBR1000RR-R SP Fireblade. The new model is priced at RM 208,800 and features several revisions along with powertrain updates.

The 30th-anniversary edition shares major parts and specs with Honda’s flagship superbike, the CBR10000RR-R SP. However, it has been refined by the brand for enhanced mid-range acceleration. For instance, Honda has revamped the intake ports, mid-section exhaust, and airbox. Also, the final drive sprocket has been increased from 40 to 43.

Other improvements include enhanced traction control with a new algorithm that allows for better rear-wheel traction along with revised Nissin calipers and Brembo calipers.

On the design front, the model features the 30th Anniversary livery that gives a nod to the 1992 Honda Fireblade. The bodywork is carried out by Hiroaki Tsukui, the same man behind the original Fireblade livery in 1992.

Other key features include LED light setup, TFT dash, engine braking, traction control, wheelie control, launch control, and cornering ABS.
