2022 QJ Motor 600RR benefits from more power

KUALA LUMPUR: QJ Motor launched the 600RR sportbike back in 2020 and now the Chinese motorcycle manufacturer has given the unit its first update!

Despite several new additions, the 600RR continues to hold its foundation tight, which is its Benelli TNT600i platform along with the same 4-cyl powerplant (but now with more power & torque).

Let’s now discuss the updates -

Design: For the model year 2022, the 600RR gets a revised front fascia that reminds us of the Ducati Panigale. The sportbike also features a carbon winglet that adds around 6 kg of downforce when traveling at 150 kmph. The rear now showcases a sharper tail section, also the side profile is sportier than before.

Engine: The 2022 600RR gets the same chassis as before and is powered by the same old 4-cylinder engine which has been returned for extra power and torque. The mill now pumps out a maximum power of 87.2 hp at 11,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 56 Nm at 10,500 rpm.

Weight: In its new version, the 600RR is two kg lighter than the previous model, bringing the figure down to 213 kg.

Fuel tank capacity: The motorcycle now gets a bigger, 18-litre fuel tank that arrears extra range making it ideal for daily commuting and track days.

Exhaust system: QJ Motor’s new offering benefits from a revised exhaust unit that contributes to its performance figures.

Braking & handling: No changes here, as the 600RR continues to feature the same suspension setup, a non-adjustable USD KYB front fork, and at the rear a preload-adjustable mono-shock unit. The braking duty is performed by twin 4-piston radially mounted Brembo calipers with to a radial master cylinder.

Electronic inclusions: Part of the 2022 QJ Motor 600RR specs sheet is several rider assist and comforting features like - a USB C port, TFT display, upshift quick shifters, anti-lock braking system, traction control, and riding modes.
