2022 Aprilia RSV 4 XTrenta racing bike revealed, limited to just 100 units

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of its first Grand Prix world title, the Italian bikemaker Aprilia has introduced a special edition of the RSV 4 superbike, called the RSV 4 XTrenta. Manufactured by the brand’s Noale Racing Department, the special racing bike borrows advanced tech from Aprilia’s RS-GP MotoGP models. It will be produced in a limited quantity of 100 units.

Here are the key highlights of the track-only 2022 Aprilia RSV 4 XTrenta -

• The bike flaunts an aggressive silhouette with an aerodynamic body and carbon fibre winglets
• An 'under wing' is also mounted on the swingarm, which is called 'spoon' in MotoGP
• Inspired by the RS-GP racer, the super bike also features a clip-on handlebar, a muscular fuel tank, and a rider-only saddle 

• It rolls on forged-magnesium Marchesini M7R GENESI wheels shod with Pirelli Diablo SBK slick tyres
• Powering the limited-edition Aprilia RSV4 is a 1,099-cc V4 liquid-cooled engine, which kicks out a maximum power output of 230 bhp i.e. 13 bhp more than the donor bike
• According to the automaker, the credit for the power bump goes to SC-Project's titanium and carbon fibre exhaust and Magneti Marelli ECU 
• It tips the scales at 166 kg, offering a phenomenal power-to-weight ratio

• The bike’s Ohlins suspension setup is tuned by Andreani and Aprilia MotoGP engineers. A model-specific Aprilia Racing triple clamp is also added to the kit
• The braking duties are managed by Brembo’s GP4-MS billet monobloc callipers paired with twin B330 mm T-drive discs

  The 2022 Aprilia RSV 4 XTrenta price tag for the Old Continent reads 50,000 Euros (without taxes), which is approximately equivalent to RM 223,377. As stated above, this track-only weapon is limited to just 100 units, so the chances of its arrival on the local shores are very less.
