2021 Moto Guzzi V7 Stone Centenario arrives in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Founded in 1921 in Italy, Moto Guzzi completed its 100 years of existence in 2021. To celebrate this milestone, the bikemaker launched a series of special edition models back in January, for the V7, V9, and V85 TT. Well, the good part for us is that one of those, the 2021 Moto Guzzi V7 Stone Centenario, is now available in Malaysia. Didi Resources Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of Moto Guzzi bikes in the local market is retailing the special edition model at RM 72,900.

The 2021 Moto Guzzi V7 Stone Centenario is priced at RM RM 72,900.
  • What does the 2021 Moto Guzzi V7 Stone Centenario have on offer?

The 2021 Moto Guzzi V7 Stone Centenario is outfitted with a special livery, a bigger engine, and upgraded equipment.
  • The V7 Stone Centenario Edition is outfitted with a special livery featuring matt finish green bodywork and a satin-finished metallic grey fuel tank. It is inspired by the Otto Cilindri Championship racing bike of 1955. Complementing the new color scheme is a gold-finished eagle and a Moto Guzzi 100 years logo.

Powering the special edition Moto Guzzi V7 is a much bigger 850-cc transversal 90° V‐twin engine that churns out a maximum power of 65 hp at 6,800 rpm and a peak torque of 73 Nm at 5,000 rpm. As compared to the previous 744-cc mill, it generates almost 25% extra oomph. It is transmitted to the bike’s rear wheel through a six-speed manual gearbox and a final shaft drive.

Not only the engine but other equipment are also better in the V7 Stone Centenario Edition. For instance, it gets a bigger set of exhaust pipes, 40 mm hydraulic telescopic front forks, twin-sided preload-adjustable rear shock absorbers, and new aluminium wheels. The front wheel wrapped with a 100/90 tyre measures 18 inches while the 17-inch rear wheel comes with a 150/70 tyre.

Taking care of the braking needs is a 320 mm floating disc brake with a Brembo four-piston caliper at the front and a 260 mm single disc with Brembo floating two-piston caliper at the rear.

Added to the key highlights is a LED headlight with an 'eagle' signature LED daytime running light and a monochrome LCD screen.
