2020 Yamaha TMax revealed with a 560 cc engine
KUALA LUMPUR: Yamaha has taken the wraps off the new generation TMAX scooter, just ahead of the 2019 EICMA show, which will be held between November 5th and 10th in Milan. The scooter is in the seventh generation and sports a more ergonomic riding experience, refreshed styling and more power.
As mentioned above, the TMax 560 comes with a bigger engine, as the displacement is bumped to the 560 cc from 530 cc. It is capable of churning out a maximum power of 47.6 hp, which comes at 7,500 rpm, while the peak torque is 55.7 Nm at 5,250 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels via an automatic transmission and belt drive. Moreover, the bike carries a 15-inch fuel tank.
The Yamaha TMAX is being known as one of the sharper-looking scooters, that is why, the seventh generation TMAX comes with a similar sport-inspired aesthetic, which made the previous versions popular. A number of things are also similar to its elder siblings.
The thin rear-end offers the rider to access the ergonomic benefits much more easily and the silhouette is slimmer. There are new LED flashers along with a T shaped rear light, which makes its appearance different from the previous model. The seats of the bike get a new design, which helps to improve the ergonomics. The front-wheel will be stopped by the 267 mm diameter disc brake. Moreover, the bike rides on 15-inch wheels.
Along with the TMax, a sportier TMax Tech Max has also been launched. There are a lot of new additions to the TMax Tech Max over the TMax 560. These include TMax Connect smartphone connectivity, electrically controlled windshield, heated grips, cruise control, and adjustable rear suspension.
