2020 Honda EX5 gets new graphics, price starts from RM 4,783

KUALA LUMPUR: The market’s most durable and favourite cub has been introduced once again, the 2020 Honda EX5, which comes with new graphics, cast and alloy-spoked wheel options and two striking colours, namely Pearl Magellanic Black and Pearl Nightfall Blue.

While the alloy spoked wheel option gets chrome headlight surround and a rear passenger grab rail, the cast wheel option does not get benefitted from these. That’s the main difference between the two models on offer which is also reflected in the prices they sport. The cast wheel option is priced at RM 4,783, while the tubeless alloy wheel EX5 is at RM 5,009 (both prices are insurance, registration and road tax excluded).

Powering the 2020 Honda EX5 is the 110 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that’s supported by Honda’s Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-Fi) system. The power mill is capable of producing a max power of 8.6 PS at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 8.62 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The transmission duties on the new Honda EX5 are handled by a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The PGM-Fi system not only assists in consuming lesser fuel but also contributes to the environment by producing lesser pollution.

For suspension, Honda has blessed it with the telescopic front fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The braking duties are taken care of by the drum brakes at both, front and rear ends. There is a 4.3-litre tank for carrying the fuel.
