Xpeng X9 launching soon in Thailand, Will it come to Malaysia?
KUALA LUMPUR: After the G6 electric SUV, Xpeng is geared up to launch its another electric model in Thailand, called the X9. The Xpeng X9 is a large premium MPV based on the company’s SEPA 2.0 EV platform. It will hit the Thai shores in October this year and square up against electric MPVs like Zeekr 009 and Denza D9.

- A front-mounted electric motor with the same output as above, paired with a 101.5 kWh LFP battery which provides a cruising range of 702 km (on the CLTC cycle).
- A dual-motor all-wheel-drive performance model tuned to make 503 PS and 640 Nm. It comes with a 101.5 kWh ternary lithium battery with a 640 km driving range.
The MPV comes equipped with an active rear-wheel steering system and an intelligent dual-chamber air suspension system, along with a class-leading turning radius of 5.4m.
In terms of design, the X9 boasts a dual-tier lighting setup on the front comprising daytime running lights and main headlamps. The lower intake incorporates a honeycomb mesh pattern, enhancing the vehicle's sporty appearance. Other key highlights include flat rear windows, sliding rear doors, and lush pop-out door handles.
The seven-seater cabin boasts a 2-2-3 layout with a bucketload of advanced features, including -
