The Xpeng G7 is noticeably larger than its sibling, the G6, offering a more commanding presence on the road. At 4,892mm in length, 1,925mm in width, and 1,655mm in height, the G7 is 139mm longer, 5mm wider, and 5mm taller than the G6, which measures 4,753mm in length, 1,920mm in width, and 1,650mm in height.

Both models share the same 2,890mm wheelbase, which should mean similar interior space. Interestingly, it’s slightly longer than the Xpeng G9, but with a shorter wheelbase and a lower height.

Like most Xpeng vehicles, the front of the G7 is dominated by slim LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and a light bar, consistent with Xpeng's design language.

The main headlight cluster sits underneath the DRLs, they are are neatly integrated, and the absence of a traditional grille like most EVs gives the SUV a clean, modern look.

From the side, there’s an appearance of a low roofline and aerodynamic contours highlighting its sporty character, while the rear boasts expansive LED taillights, a light bar, and a roof-mounted spoiler for a touch of sportiness.

Apparently, the G7 will be available in at least two variants, both powered by lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries supplied by CALB. While detailed performance figures remain under wraps, the SUV’s weight ranges from 2,085kg to 2,160kg, suggesting variations in battery capacity or motor configurations.

As for its price, the latest addition to Xpeng’s lineup is expected to start at around 200,000 yuan (approximately RM127,000), positioning it as a competitively priced option in the ever growing EV market.
