What does Maserati’s encrypted message say about its upcoming SUV, the Grecale

KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, that is about right. Maserati has released an encrypted message wherein it shares (& hides) a few details about its upcoming SUV, the Grecale.

So, what does the message reveal?

The name of the Maserati’s upcoming SUV like all its cars is based on the wind. The Grecale is a north-easterly Mediterranean wind and for Maserati it will play a major role in the company’s lineup.

The new Grecale SUV is said to embody the concept of ‘The Everyday Exception’ with style, versatility, innovation, and passion as its key ingredients. Meaning, the car will pack the thrill of luxury and pure innovation, in perfect balance. Sounds nice, right?

As for the mechanical bit, the message only reveals that the SUV will be offered in a wide range of powertrains including, the conventional internal combustion engine, hybrid, and full-electric unit. As expected power, torque, and engine displacement figures are encrypted.

In addition to the awe-striking exterior with unique, stylish lines and character, the SUV will showcase a cabin done in highest quality material and finishes. The car will also offer an immersive acoustic experience. We can hear the refined tunes already!

Though, the message encrypts all the good stuff, specification and all, it does say the Grecale will tag along excellent standard specifications along with impressive interior space, handling, acceleration, top speed, and driveability.

The message also talks about the SUVs generous dimensions, though all the figures are kept hidden, a mention in the PR hints towards something good and impressive. It did, however, mention the Grecale SUV to have a distinctively sporty appearance without sacrificing comfort.

What the encrypted message does clearly mention is the SUV offering - extraordinary handling with prestigious dynamic & acoustic comfort, and laminated windows guaranteeing optimal sound absorption.

Maserati will fill all the missing gaps in the encrypted message at the Grecale launch which is scheduled for Mar 22, 2022.
