Volkswagen ‘Safe Hands’ campaign for contactless service
KUALA LUMPUR: Following the recent relaxations provided in the third phase of MCO, the car companies are well prepared to welcome the customers once again. Much like others, all the service centres of the German automaker, Volkswagen, are now opened with full-capacity in line with the strict safety standards.
To ensure the customers’ safety, Volkswagen has rolled out a ‘Safe Hands’ campaign, which comprises contactless service procedures for the sake of customers’ and employees’ health. The campaign includes the following safety protocols:
- Contactless vehicle acceptance
- Video walkthroughs
- Sanitization before and after the repair
- Cashless payments with e-invoicing
- Vehicle pick-up and drop-off arrangement at selected dealerships.
These measures are implemented at all Volkswagen service outlets in the country.
Volkswagen also advised its customers to book an appointment before visiting the dealership as no walk-in will be entertained. Also, the coronavirus frontline workers who have already booked their appointments through the “Welcome Back” campaign will get the priority slot as per the availability. The firm rolled-out this aftersale program previous month under the VolkswagenCares initiative.
Erik Winter, managing director of VPCM, also assures car-owners that their safety is the firm’s top priority. “As we prepare to attend to the aftersales needs of our customers, we do this keeping in mind that social distancing is the new normal, and that hygiene and sanitization is now an essential part of daily precautionary measures. I am pleased to say that our ‘Safe Hands‘ SOP adheres to these new standards and will apply to all aspects of our business operations, and not just at our service centres.“
Other than these, regular monitoring of the body temperature of customers & employees and regular sanitization of premises are also followed. For more information, customers can visit the company’s official website www.volkswagen.com.my.
Moreover, Volkswagen has also announced that it will continue to honor the warranty coverage of the vehicles that are not able to meet the scheduled service maintenance due to movement control order.
