Upcoming Kia K8 sedan image revealed

KUALA LUMPUR: Once Kia launches the K8 sedan, it will replace the ongoing K7/Cadenza that has been around for a while now. Like all the automakers Kia also created hype for its upcoming sedan, by posting its teaser images. Thanks to this, we got to see the car’s stunning exterior, however, back then Kia kept numb about the K8 interior.

Now, as the K8 is approaching its arrival, we get to see more of the sedan both in form of teaser and spy shots. Recently, Car Secrets uploaded an image of K8’s cabin that looked like taken from an early development unit. The said picture is doing rounds in Korea and tells a lot about the upcoming sedan.

One thing that was immediately clear from seen the K8 interior image is that this time Kia has worked a lot harder. Compared to the previous-gen model, the new K8 is a lot more modern, has a massive windscreen unit placed on top of the minimalist dashboard.

Now, this big, hard-to-miss display integrates both the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. Also, from its looks of it, we are pretty much sure that the driver will have to use the infotainment touchscreen to use most vehicle functions.

Moving on, the centre console seems to house a few knobs and controls, one of them might be the engine start/stop button. On the centre tunnel is present a rotary gear selector along with other driving assistance controls.

Another striking element is the three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel with a big KIA logo. Yes, it’s the new Kia logo. The quality of material used seems ultra-premium, especially the wood trim running around the dashboard, door trim, and centre tunnel.

Kia K8 engine details are not out at the moment, however, the sedan is most likely to be powered by a range of Smartstream mills. What we do know for sure is the length of the sedan. The Kia K8 will be 19 mm longer than the K7, it measures 5,015 mm.

Kia K8 arrival details

The all-new Kia K8 sedan will first go on sale in its home country, i.e., Korea with the car expected to reach the showroom before the end of this year.
