Unveiled: Mercedes-AMG A45 4Matic PETRONAS 2015 World Champion Edition
Kuala Lumpur: Mercedes-AMG has launched a new special edition of Mercedes-AMG A45 4Matic to celebrate its F1 Team's double triumphs (driver’s and constructor’s championships) in 2015 Formula 1 season. The special edition of the Mercedes-AMG A45 4Matic has been named as Mercedes-AMG A45 4Matic PETRONAS 2015 World Champion Edition.

Visually speaking, the exterior of the world champion edition flaunts the same petrol-green, black and silver finishing seen on board the Mercedes F1 racing car. Similarly, it also gets the same large front splitters, rear mounted roof spoiler and bespoke flics in addition to the redesigned 19-inch titanium grey alloys with petrol green flange. The car will be offered in three colour choices - mountain grey metallic, designo mountain greymagno, and polar silver metallic.
Inside, there is Mercedes-AMG Petronas badging on the standard electrically adjustable AMG performance seats in leather/DINAMICA microfibre, centre console, steering wheel's 12 o’clock marker, air-vent rings, green seat stripes, seat belt stripes and topstitching.
The powertrain of the world champion edition remains unchanged with the same facelifted model's 381hp/475Nm 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with an AMG Speedshift DCT 7-speed dual clutch transmission and AMG Performance 4Matic all-wheel drive system.

Tobias Moers, Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes-AMG has said that the company wants to share its delight and pride in the outstanding performance of its Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team with the launch of the world champion edition. He also added that the launching of a new special edition is a great way to celebrate the victory of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.
Mercedes-AMG A45 4Matic PETRONAS 2015 World Champion Edition will be unveiled, this weekend, at 2015 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The special edition car will go on sale for a limited time from January to May next year. In Germany, the price of the car is estimated at €65,402 (RM293,800), or €66,818 (RM300,200) with the matte designo mountain grey magno paint.
