UMW Toyota July 2023 sales numbers revealed; YTD crosses 57k mark
KUALA LUMPUR: UMW Toyota has continued to grab positive sales growth in July 2023. The company sold a total of 8,349 vehicles during the month, which comprises 8,200 Toyota and 149 Lexus units. Compared to July 2022, the sales record witnessed a hike of 25.8%.

Toyota’s year-to-date sales in Malaysia have reached 57,008 units with an increase of 8.5% over year-to-date sales of 52,548 units registered in July 2022.With that, Toyota’s year-to-date sales in Malaysia have reached 57,008 units, representing an increase of 8.5% over year-to-date sales of 52,548 units registered in July 2022.

Alongside attaining a strong sales record, UMW Toyota undertook the following noteworthy activities last month -
The company has expanded Armada KK Automobile, one of its long-running dealerships in the Penampang region, from 1S to 3S centre. The new 3S centre is equipped with 18 service bays to meet the needs of Toyota drivers. It is located at Mile 6, Jalan Penampang.
Also, the customers of Muar, Peninsular Malaysia, welcomed a new Toyota 4S centre incorporating 14 service bays and 20 Body & Paint bays.
In July 2023, the company also rolled out a monthly promo offering up to a 100% loan for a brand-new Toyota. By opting for a low instalment plan option, customers can get the new Toyota Yaris for as low as RM 628 a month. Also, there is a cash rebate of RM 10,000 on the purchase of the new Toyota Camry.
In July, the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup Malaysia online racing series was also rebranded from GR Velocity Esports Championship. In its sixth year, it offers high cash prizes, reaching RM 90,500 this year – a record in GR GT Cup Malaysia history. Toyota also introduced simulator racing to Malaysian universities, a first for the brand in e-racing.
