On the Toyota New Global Architecture(TNGA) modular platform, the look and drive of 2016 Toyota Prius is better than the ongoing model. As far as looks are concerned, the 2016 Prius is going to adopt from the Toyota C-HR Concept.
By all the build ups surrounding it, the new Prius might have one possible downer, which being the fact that 15% improvement is there in the fuel economy, which is not correct. Such improvement is too high to be considered seriously, as a fuel economy rating of 21.1 km/l is already achieved on the combined cycle.
The true news is that the technology adoption from Toyota's TS040 hybrid racer – micro controllers and microchips, rather than any mechanical stuffs. With both nickel-metal hydride and lithium-ion battery packs, the new Prius has been recommended. The expected weight up is 20% less than the current model.
