This stunning car is the one-off Bugatti Chiron Profilee

KUALA LUMPUR: Bugatti has revealed the final variant of the Chiron, called the one-off Bugatti Chiron Profilee. The latest version is for customers asking for a less radical version of the Chiron Pur Sport.

Another important piece of information relating to the new Chiron is that it is ‘one of the final W16-powered Bugatti’ and will be auctioned next year on 1st Feb at RM Sotheby’s auction in Paris.

All-new Bugatti Chiron Profilee - Key highlights

• A fixed ducktail spoiler with two functions; one to ensure stability & control at the top speed of 380 kmph via increasing rear-axle downforce and to suck out hot air from the engine through negative pressure

• It gets wider air inlets and an enlarged Bugatti horseshoe grille that helps feed air into the radiators
• Revised front splitter to work with the sculpted underbody
• Covered in a specifically developed primary hue, Argent Atlantique

• The lower part of the car features exposed carbon fibre which is painted in Bleu Royal Carbon tone
• The exclusive wheels are finished in Le Patron tone
• On the inside, the car utilises materials like solid aluminium, leather, and carbon

• It is the first Chiron to be fitted with a woven leather finish which can be seen on the centre console, dashboard, and door panels
• The seats feature an air parade quilting pattern and are finished in Gris Rafale and Deep Blue

Powering the new Chiron Profilee is a quad-turbocharger 8.0-litre mill generating a max power of 1,500 hp along with a peak torque of 1,600 Nm. The drive is sent to the wheels via a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox. The said configuration helps the car complete the century sprint in just 2.3 seconds and reach the double century mark in 5.5 seconds.

Christophe Piochon, Bugatti Automobiles President on the new creation said, “Taking customer wishes to explore a less radical version of the Pur Sport seriously into consideration, we started with the design and development of the Chiron Profilée in Autumn 2020. By the time we saw the pre-series vehicle coming out of production, all Chiron slots limited to just 500 were assigned for. But we knew that what we had created was too beautiful to be hidden away. It is – in every sense – a unique piece in Bugatti’s history and a true collector’s item. And we wanted to give a fair chance to any devotee of the Bugatti brand to acquire this unique car, so we decided to partner with RM Sotheby’s to auction it.”
