Introduced in China in the middle of the previous year, the smart#3 comes in four variants: Pro+, Pulse AWD, Premium, and the limited-edition Brabus Performance, which is capped at 1,999 units for 2023. Pricing starts at CNY 209,900 (approximately RM 135,478) and can reach up to CNY 289,900 (approximately RM 187,113). The Pro+ and Premium models feature a single front motor delivering 268 hp, powered by a 66 kWh battery that allows a range of 555 km according to the CLTC cycle.
The Pulse AWD variant boasts a dual-motor setup that provides a combined 422 hp and 543 Nm of torque, enabling a range of 520 km on a single charge. Meanwhile, the BRABUS Performance model mirrors the Pulse AWD in terms of power but stands out with its sporty bodywork and eye-catching 20-inch wheels.
Like its brother the smart#1, the smart#3 is built on Geely's Sustainable Electric Architecture (SEA) platform, measuring 4,400 mm in length, 1,844 mm in width, 1,556 mm in height, and has a 2,785 mm wheelbase. It boasts an aerodynamic profile with a drag coefficient of 0.27 Cd. Inside, the vehicle is equipped with a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by Snapdragon 8155 and includes the Smart Pilot Assist, a Level 2+ ADAS package.
The KL Car-Free Morning Programme, which took place at Dataran DBKL and attracted 2,000 participants for a 7km closed-road run, coincided with World Earth Day. smart, in partnership with Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), played a pivotal role in the event, emphasizing its commitment to sustainable urban living. This partnership is a cornerstone in smart's strategy to enhance urban mobility by supporting events that transform busy streets into vibrant, pedestrian-friendly zones.
