The 2024 AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupé is the quickest series-production model in Mercedes-AMG's history

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-AMG has officially launched sales  of the AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupé in Europe, available for order both online and through retail partners starting at €217,770 (approximately RM1.1Million).

This model marks the pinnacle in the AMG lineup with a potent combination of a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine and an electric motor, delivering a system output of 816 horsepower and a peak torque of 1,420 Nm. Notably, this vehicle can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, making it the quickest series-production model in Mercedes-AMG's history, with a top speed of 320 km/h.

The AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupé offers a unique blend of luxury and performance, equipped with state-of-the-art features such as AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension, semi-active roll stabilization, active rear-axle steering, and a high-performance ceramic composite brake system by AMG. Additional standard luxuries include the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission, Nappa leather sports seats, and the comprehensive Parking Package with a reversing camera.

The interior boasts an 11.9-inch MBUX multimedia touchscreen optimized for navigation and ergonomics, AMG TRACK PACE virtual race engineer, and wireless smartphone charging capabilities. The vehicle also facilitates extensive customization through the Mercedes-Benz MANUFAKTUR program, offering an array of exclusive paintwork and high-quality interior options including vintage blue, silicon grey, and desert sand exterior colors, as well as custom Nappa leather interiors in various colors.

The AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE's environmental footprint is characterized by a combined weighted energy consumption of 12.6 kWh/100 km and 8.2 liters of fuel per 100 km, with CO2 emissions pegged at 188 g/km (both weighted and with discharged battery classified under CO2 class G).

While the AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupé is not yet available in Malaysia, enthusiasts eager for a similar driving experience have an exciting alternative. The AMG GT 63 S E Performance F1 Edition, launched last month and currently available in Malaysia, shares the core engine specifications but adds the practicality of four doors. Priced at RM2,118,888, this 4-door special F1 Edition is distinguished by a suite of exclusive exterior and interior enhancements that elevate its luxury and distinctiveness.

Under the hood, the F1 Edition is equipped with a M177 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 engine, delivering 639 PS and 900 Nm of torque. Complementing the potent petrol engine is a rear-mounted P3 electric motor that produces 204 PS and 320 Nm of torque. This setup is further enhanced with an electronic limited-slip differential and a specially engineered two-speed transmission that shifts to second gear at around 140 km/h, allowing the electric motor to continue contributing power at higher speeds.
