Thailand gets the all-new Honda Civic Type R FL5; is Malaysia next?

KUALA LUMPUR: The highly anticipated all-new 2023 Honda Civic Type R FL5 has finally made its way into the Thai auto market. Yes, it is the same Civic variant that is expected to arrive in the Malaysian market in 2023.

The new Civic Type R FL5 retails for THB 3,990,000 (around RM 518k).

Powertrain

Under the hood rests the familiar 2.0-litre inline-four turbocharged engine making a maximum power of 320 hp along with a peak torque of 420 Nm. The drive is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. Also, part of the setup is a helical-type limited-slip differential.

Design language
