Tesla Model 3 launched in Malaysia at RM 189,000

KUALA LUMPUR: After launching the Model Y in July, Tesla has now introduced its second electric car, the Model 3, in Malaysia. The American EV giant offers the electric mid-size sedan in two variants - Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range AWD, priced at RM 189,000 and RM 218,000, respectively.

    The maximum supercharging speed for the RWD variant is 170 kW, while the AWD variant is 250 kW.

    Tesla offers the all-new ‘Highland’ iteration of the Model 3 in Malaysia which made its debut last month. The latest model features restyled front and rear bumpers, sleeker front headlights and tail lights, and prominent LED DRLs. Inside, it benefits from a redesigned dashboard with LED lighting and customisable trims, a new steering wheel, and improved materials.

    The list of optional features comprises - 19-inch Nova Wheels for RM 7,500, Enhanced AutoPilot for RM 16,000, and Full Self-Driving Capability for RM 32,000.

    The new Model 3 is available in five colour options, of which only one, Pearl White Multi-Coat, comes at no extra cost. The two shades, Solid Black and Deep Blue Metallic, cost an additional RM 5,000, while Stealth Grey and Ultra Red are offered at RM 7,500 and RM 11,000, respectively.

    On the purchase of the new Model 3, Tesla Malaysia provides a 4-year/80,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year/160,000 km battery & drive unit warranty.
