Sneak Peek: Next-Gen BMW X3 G01 Spotted Disguised in Urban Region
Kuala Lumpur: While the official launch of all new Next-Gen BMW X3 G01 is expected at the end of 2016, the crossover has been spotted in disguise by one of the spy photographers when it was undergoing real-world tests in urban environment, unlike the previous winter test. The all new Next-Gen BMW X3 G01 is expected to feature a new, more practical look, rather flinging off the current F25 X3’s boxier, more upright shaped to make way for the curvier overall dimensions. The A-pillars seem to have been slanted further backwards while the roofline looks to be dropping gradually as it approaches the rear of the car.
The front end is heavily disguised with only the brand’s signature kidney grille visible, which itself looks more squared-off and enlarged than the current F25 X3. Coming to the rear side of the crossover, the the thick camo and visible circular tail lights looks quite enticing. Evidently, BMW doesn't want to reveal much about Next-Gen BMW X3 G01, we can expect a familiar “L”-shape rear lamps placed just underneath in the same fashion as seen on the latest X1 – which will make its debut in Malaysia, this weekend.

According to many reports, including one from BMWBlog, the Next-Gen X3 G01 will continue with its its five-seater feature, leaving the seven-seater configuration for larger X5 or the new 2 Series Gran Tourer MPV. The crossover is also expected to feature BMW’s latest 35up rear-wheel drive modular platform and the same engine options that is available to the current BMW 3 Series LCI, all providing additional power and efficiency than before. In addition to the roomier cabin, the rear seats of the all new Next-Gen BMW X3 G01 is expected to provide further flexibility in switching between better rear passenger accommodation, or additional cargo space. Other predictions before the global debut of Next-Gen BMW X3 G01 at the end of 2016 include the chances of a long wheelbase X3 L, a plug-in hybrid variant, and a X3 M40i M Performance version.
