Smart Malaysia opens second EV hub in Johor Bahru, adding to its ever growing network
KUALA LUMPUR: Smart Malaysia is set to further enhance its presence in the southern region with the unveiling of its second dealership in Johor Bahru. This latest addition, managed by AG Autoworld (EV) under the banner of Smart Johor Bahru 2, shows the company’s commitment to expanding the availability of electric vehicles (EVs) and engaging more closely with the local community.

Spanning a total area of 230 square meters, Smart Johor Bahru 2 is equipped to display up to three vehicles and includes a dedicated delivery bay. The facility is expected to begin full operations in early Q4 of this year.
With this new outlet, Smart Malaysia now boasts 13 appointed dealers and 14 outlets nationwide, with 11 currently operational, including the newly launched Johor Bahru 2.
Smart Malaysia’s current lineup, featuring the Smart #1 and the recently launched Smart #3, may soon be joined by a third member. The Smart #5, a mid-size electric SUV, is set to make its official world debut on August 28, 2024, in China. Built on Geely's Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform, the Smart #5 is anticipated to bring advanced features and impressive driving ranges of up to 740 km. Given Smart Malaysia’s existing portfolio, it’s likely that the Smart #5 will be introduced to the Malaysian market next year, further expanding the brand’s offering in the EV segment.
