Together, the automaker and UOW Malaysia have launched a short video competition for university students, promoting innovation and collaboration in the EV industry and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education.
The key highlights of the competition are as follows -
- The theme of the competition is 'Electrifying The Future,' where students have to reimagine and express the future of mobility through storytelling.
- Commenced on May 31, 2024, the competition invites students from the University of Wollongong Malaysia to submit a video on the topic - "What do you think the world will be like when electric cars become the norm?"
- Participants are allowed to form teams of 3 to 4 members.
- Videos must be 2-3 minutes in duration and submitted by 7 August 2024 to the respective schools.
- The submissions will be judged based on creativity, originality, relevance to the theme, storytelling effectiveness, and overall production quality.
- The winners will be announced in October 2024.
- Also, winners and participants will get an opportunity to join an internship program with smart Malaysia that could lead to the beginning of a career in the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector.
