Six Proton 3S/4S centres opened in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: Proton is one of the top-selling automakers in Malaysia and has done it at the back of offering some of the most amazing and value-for-money cars. Hence, in order to give a big boost to the sales and service network, the company launched six 3S/4S centres in the country, some of which are in East Malaysia too.
The present Proton 4S service outlet in the state of Negeri Sembilan (Peninsula area), LHM Car Service Centre, has been upgraded with an investment of RM1 million. The upgrade has been done to make sure that the centre matches the new brand image of the company. It is built on an area of 27,000 square feet and has 12 paint and 14 service bays.
Apart from this, there is a new 4S centre built in the same state. This would be operated by the Grand Arena Automotive and has cost the company an investment of RM6 millions. It has 12 paint and the same number of service bays in total, along with a panel of 30 staff.
The existing 4S centre at Ipoh, Perak has also been upgraded to offer a better service and convenience to the customers. It has 14 service bays and 10 for the paint and body.
For East Malaysia, there are three new/existing service centres. However, all the centres here are 3S, out of which two are existing and one is newly opened. The one at Kuala Baram incurred an investment of RM1 million and includes six bays for service, a lounge for the customers and 20 staff.
The new Proton dealer is Fook Loi Corporation at Sandakan, Sabah, which is in a busy traffic area. This would make the service centre very highly visited.
The company had targeted a total of 109 3S/4S approval by the end of October 2018, out of which 105 have already been approved. This shows a completion rate of 96%.
